Refunds of VAT after 40 instead of 60 days are to encourage taxable persons to use the government’s invoice issuing system. Such a system (Domestic e-Invoice System) would start operating as soon as 1 October 2021. The tax authorities say that the issued invoices would be stored for 10 years.
